Obus Penny Purses

I am a big fan of Melbourne label Obus because their fabrics are always super high quality and they don’t chase trends. I have a few of their pieces and wear then year in, year out. Their most recent Summer 11/12 collection was named Destino Mexico! and Mexican inspired it is. Check out the lookbook here.
Today I visited their CBD store and couldn’t resist a dress that was on sale. It is the same as the top pictured below but approximately knee length. It is 100% silk and cotton lined, perfect for an Australian summer.
While I was instore I noticed the cool Half Penny purses pictured above. They are embossed leather and come in Tan and metallic Silver or Gold. The purses are approximately 10cm in diameter and priced at $49 RRP. These purses aren’t listed on their online store but I believe if you email the store direct and they will organise to post them to you.

Once again I have to thank Triple R for introducing me to great new music. Late last year the Breakfasters had this track by Catcall on high rotation. Two of my dear friends got married in October and it was one of the most fun wedding’s I have ever attended. The bride has impeccable taste in accessories obviously (McQueen). Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the shoes, oh the shoes!

Apologies for the hiatus. The last few months have been crazy busy.
I launched an online store called Bodega Deluxe (check it out if you have time), took a trip to Hong Kong (Lane Crawford is one of the best department stores I have ever had the pleasure of visiting – more on this later) and took some time off to celebrate Christmas here in Australia.

Well sort of. He recently released a capsule collection with Swatch and this neon leopard wrap timepiece is by far my favourite. I’m not a die hard Jeremy Scott fan but I think it’s cool that he has fun and doesn’t take things too seriously.
You can pick them up at Opening Ceremony for $60 USD and I have also seen a few on eBay for $90 USD.

These incredible art pieces are handmade by the Huichol people of the Sierra Madre Mountains in Western Mexico. The 16 skulls in this collection have been commissioned by UK based Catherine Martin under the moniker ‘My Exquisite Corpse’. And Exquisite they are.
The skulls are priced 439 pounds and are available at LN-CC.
